Winchester 30-30

I was unloading my Winchester Ranger 30-30 for cleaning and noticed that the two forward rounds in the tube magazine had the bullets pushed into the casing about 1/4". Is this normal and is it safe to shoot them like that? I'm using 170 gr. PMC.

Also, does anyone have directions or a diagram for taking the bolt apart on a Romanian .22 trainer? It shoots great, I just want to give it a thorough cleaning.

Sounds like the crimp of the case mouth onto the bullet wasn't strong enough. Recoil "Did the dirty".

Take some pliers, carefully rotate the bullet and pull it back into place. Load singly into the chamber and all will be okay.

Change brand of ammo.

Dunno 'bout the Romanian.

Actually this can happen with almost any ammo, if the rifle is left loaded for a long time. Light pressure can do amazing things given enough time (example; the Grand Canyon). Don't shoot those compressed rounds, excessive pressures are very likely.
