Winchester 1885

Okay, all you .22 fans rejoice, Winchester has put together a brillant little .22 rifle. It is the Winchester 1885 low wall in .22. This gun is made in Japan by Miruko (did I spell this right) and it is a nice piece of work.

Does anyone have any experience with this rifle as compared to the original 1885 low wall?

What scope would you put on this type of rifle or would you scope it? I do know if the gun will be any more fun with a scope.

Anyone know have this rifle and what is the accuracy that can be expected.

Thanks for the info.

I have no first hand knowledge of it but I to am interested in the low wall .22. Do you have any additional info on it such as price, barrel length and contour, crescett or shotgun butt, etc.

I shot a re-barreled original low wall in .22 lr a few days ago. It had a spirit level globe front sight and vernier tang sight. After a few rounds to get used to the trigger, I could redily hit a smallbore ram silhouette offhad at 100 yards.

Please let me know what you find out about the new winchester.

Thanks
Steve J
