Howdy,I just got a Winchester 1300 12ga. shotgun so I got a question for ya`ll. On my barrel where the barrel attaches to the "ring" that goes around the magazine tube, it looks as if they forgot to blue part of it. (very minor)-I`m pickey about my guns:) What would be the best way to touch it up to make it look like new (w/blueing). Thanks in advance.
 
If I understand you, it looks like the area where the ring attaches to the barrel has a shiney spot. If this is the case, it is probably some of the silver solder that didn't get cleaned off before they blued it. If it is silver solder, it won't take normal touch-up blue. You can get some from Brownell's that will darken silver solder, but don't expect it to look like blued steel.

Clean any oil off the spot and touch it with cold blue. If it blues, your home free.
