Winchester 1300: maintenance parts

Hi guys

I recently acquired the above mentioned shotty in mint condition.

However she is to be my new IDPA 2-gunner.

Seeing as the 1300 is discontinued and parts are becoming scarse, I want to know what to get?

What should I get and how many should I get of it if I want to run this shotty for another 100k rounds?

Thanks
T

Travincal, welcome to TFL!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most pump shotguns just seem to keep working... that's certainly been the case for my Defender. Parts are available from Numrich, but by the time you have one of everything that might conceivably fail, you'd be better off just buying a second shotgun and keeping it for parts if this is really a concern for you. Individual parts are expensive.

If you want some parts to keep on hand, buy a few of the plastic hammer pin bushings that sit one either side of the hammer. These act as a cam, and if they break, which they can, then they make the gun useless. I wish somebody would make these from aluminum, at least.
