Winchester 1300; good deal?

I recently purchased a winchester 1300 with a 28 inch barrel, no iron sights though, just a bead. No corrosion anywhere inside or out, no scratches or dings, perfect bore, and it came with the three original winchokes (in the original ziplock bag with the red winchester logo on it). I have no idea how old it is though. shoots like a dream. anyway, the price at the pawn shop was 180 dollars. i was stunned. should i have been? any one know why it was so cheap? did i buy a gun that was picked up by the evidence collection team at a crime scene? that would be kind of creapy. anyway, any thoughts would be nice

is it blued with the laminate stock

Sounds like a good deal to me. The 1300 is a very strong action. If it fits you and you like it, its a very good deal. I bought the camo model 1300 with synthetic stock for $250 a few years ago. I think new price is around $300 for the camo and a god bit less for the blued model with the wood stock. Around here, you find even the cheap guns going for around $165, a good bit more than they cost brand new, but I would buy the gun like you did and walk out with a smile.

Sounds like a good deal. I bought a Win 1300 Black Shadow w/ a 26 in. barrel a few months ago new for $199. The speed pump rocks! I have several friends with Rem 870s, and my 1300 has a much faster action than any of them. No problems so far.
