Winchester 1200 out of production?

i've found a winchester defender at academy sports for $258 that they just got in. i've read several places that winchester will no longer be making these. i already have an 870 express. should i pick up the winchester while one's available? opinions, please. thanks.

I own one and love it. I guess it really boils down to if you think it may be a collector one day.

The Model 1200 was discontinued in 1981, do you mean the Model 1300?

If so, apparently the Model 1300 will continue to be produced under the FN name in Belgium and sold here.

The only difference is, it "probably" won't have the Winchester name on it.

So, the Model 1300 will still be available, so you need to decide if you want a Model 1300, OR a "Winchester" marked Model 1300.

The Winchester 1300 was produced in huge amounts, so it's not going to become collectible for a LONG time.
