Winchester 101 fires both barrels at once

My Winchester 101 fires both barrels at once. Not loaded, it works correctly when dry fired, but fires both barrel at once when loaded. Any ideas?
 
Sounds like the second sear isn't fully engaged. It's okay when dry fired but slips under recoil. It could be a broken part, tired spring or a bit of gunk. Have you given it a good cleaning? Or, on the other hand, did you just clean it… I had a minute bit of rag lint get in a sear and become bothersome.
 
Worse than rag lint. I made the mistake of cleaining with a paper shop towel until I saw it leafing bits of rag like paper under a shell stop.
 
Its my brother-in-laws and I haven't gotten it yet to look at. He said that he had it cleaned and looked at, but it still is doing it. I was just wondering if it was a common issue or not.
