I just bought a used winchester 100 in 308 from a friend of mine. He said he wanted the money to buy a 454 casul. I asked him how much he wanted and he said he would take $275.00 cash. Well I bought it and it also had a busnell 3x9 scopeon it. not the best but it will work until I can gey a bett one.I haven;t shot it yet,but he says it will shoot fine or he will give me my money back..I think I got a great deal for the money I sent the factory a fax about the firing pin problem they had a few years ago. I will have it gone over and checked out. Did I make a good deal? how accuraye are they? sj

Well, I'd say that at $275, you stole it. I saw a beat-up example at a gunshow with $350 one it; anything "cherry" goes on up. Didn't see money changing hands, so I don't know what they actually go for. Regardless, you did okay.

Try a shot at 3X and another at 9X. If they're within one inch, I wouldn't worry about another scope unless you're just extra picky.

The 100 is a good huntin' gun, but for normal uses the Bushnell is adequate. Spend the money on ammo and practice. :)

Don't tell you amigo, but I think you ate his lunch on that deal.

Congratulations. Every one I know who owns a Winchester
M-100 really likes it.
