Can anyone give me an idea where to get a parts schematic for a Winchester 1904 single shot .22 bolt rifle? Its my understanding most of these went to Austrailia. This one is missing the sear & acouple of other parts. If I can't find a parts supplier I'll have to make them?

The Australia story has been told often, especially about the thumb trigger version, but I don't think it has ever been confirmed, though certainly a lot of those guns did go there.

We usually think of John Browning in connection with guns "better" than little single shot .22's, but he designed the Model 1900, which was basically the Model 1902 and 1904. I can find no source of parts, but will note that most parts of the three models will interchange, the main differences being in the stock and barrel.

The only drawing I can find is the patent drawing (No. 632,094, dated Aug 29, 1899); you can look it up on www.uspto.gov by going to "patent" then to "search" by patent number.
