Mad Dog Knives and StreetSmart Professional Equipment are sponsoring a benefit for the family of the late Officer Steve Parsons of Anaheim.
He was their Officer of the Year, and was slain on duty a short while ago.
He leaves behind a wife and two very small children.
I have made a custom Fighting Knife valued at $900.00, and donated it to the raffle to raise money for his family. The blade is 9" long and features a full length sharp false edge, hardchrome finish, and comes with two sheaths. It is engraved with my Mad Dog logo, and numbered "1 of 1".
This one of a kind knife will be a great addition to any knife collection, and will never be reproduced by me, since Steve Parsons was also "one of a kind".
Tickets for the raffle are only $5.00 each. ALL of the proceeds go immediately to Officer Parsons' Family.
Photos of the Parsons knife should be online by late tomorrow at: http://www.tacticalforums.com
on the "Mad Dog Knives Forum" there.
The August issue of the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriff's Courier, is dedicated to Steve. You can see it at: http://www.aocds.org/courier/july_aug00/cover.htm
Click the courier index for more.
Late breaking News:
Bill Perches of StreetSmart has managed to get the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriff's Courier paper to do a full page spread on this project. It should go in on friday of this week.
We will post photos late tomorrow, and try to have the knife to Bill in time for the Newspaper to photograph it as well for their layout.
How would you like to have a full page layout matted and framed with the knife you win??
We will not be able to take credit cards for donations. I know this is an inconvenience to those who have asked. I am sorry.
Raffle donations in the form of cash, checks or money orders can be sent to:
Deputy Steve Parsons
c/o Street Smart Professional Equipment
27758 Santa Margarita Pkwy #370
Mission Viejo, CA. 92691
Please help us support the Parsons family during their time of need, and help us pay tribute to a GOOD cop.
My sincerest thanks to all.
