Win 9422 leads to second childhood.

I have the neatest little 9422. Added receiver sight and globe front and stoned the trigger and it shoots like a match rifle.

BUT....it was lacking ...SOMETHING.

Then I found it. Part #910-999-105!!! A saddle ring take down screw. AHA!

My Red Ryder carbine is BACK! Whilst waiting for another wild attack of tin cans and dirt clods, I can clickety-clack to my heart's content and wear a neato goofy looking white ring where it rubs on the receiver. And after it gets good and worn, I can tie on a rawhide thong and ride off into the sunset.

Get my medications, Lil Beaver.

I also have a 9422 and have been wanting to add a receiver sight and front post. Where did you get yours and what was the cost if you don't mind?
Best lever actions ever!
Thanks.

I can add my support to the quality of these little guns. I have fired nothing but CB shorts in mine and it is amazingly accurate and quiet enough to shoot in the backyard. Will stick with the original sights which is what I grew up with.

My 9422 has a williams receiver sight on it with the original front sights. It his perfectly at 15 yds to 100 yds (with adjustment of course) The sight was about $25 and the smith charged another $20 to mount it. (I have one of the fancy (engraved) versions and he kept asking me "was I sure I wanted to mount that sight???", I could not care about the engraving, the action and trigger were the best that my dealer had.

Great great gun. Works real well with shorts and cb's.
