win. 180g sthp 45 short barrel?

does anyboby have any info on this round on how it perfoms out of a short barrel? velocity seems to be around 925-975fps,(from what i've read) which is good for a standard velocity 180gr. but does it expand? its been around for a while but does not appear to popular. sell for $10.00 per box of 20 at walmart.

In general, the silvertip hp bullet expands well. Some will say that it expands too quickly, and results in reduced penatration compared to some of the more modern hp's... I've also noted a trend that the silvertip hp's usually have a lower velocity than the more modern hp's... I attribute this to the quicker expansion characteristics of the sthp...
