Win 1300 slug vs. Moss 500 slug

I have the option to build a Win 1300 slug gun (aftermarket barrel) or buy a new Mossberg 500 with the factory slug barrel. Cost is roughly the same either way is there any significant difference? To me all pump guns are the same if shooting shot, is one slug gun more accurate than another? What would you recommend and why?
 
If you ever wish to scope it, go with the Mossberg. I don't know the exact problem, but I recall there being issues with trying to tap the Winchester receiver for scope mounts. The Mossberg comes pre-tapped.
 
My 1300 came with the receiver factory drilled/tapped for mounting a scope. As far as choosing between it and a Mossberg 500, imo, there's not much difference. I do prefer the location of the tang-mounted safety on the Mossberg and parts might be harder to come by for the recently discontinued Winchester.
