win 120 ranger

hello. im geting what i think is a real good deal on a winchester 120 ranger tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! 150.00 bucks. comes with both slug and field barrels...
i seems to be alot like my 1300 other the the furniture. is this true. what are the main deff between the 2... and is the 120 a good shotgun?

That is a good deal if you got two barrels. I have a few old winchesters, and the barrels are expensive so I ended up getting a mossberg after I paid 225 for a 22" ventrib winchoke barrel for the 1300. The good news for me is, mossberg accuchoke and winchoke are interchangeable. The winchester 1200/1300 pumps smoother and faster, but I dont feel bad about getting my mossberg dirty and new barrels and other parts are cheap.

Just try and find some barrels for sale.. They're not cheap because nobody makes them aftermarket.

The Winchester® Ranger Mdl 120 is an OUTSTANDING pump shotgun! I bought one way back in 1987 for my son for his 16th birthday. He continues to use it every spring for turkey, and every fall; for pheasant, quail, grouse, and rabbits. He now has more guns than I do, but, that 20ga pump; is his absolute favorite gun! For the price you paid, and to get both barrels; is a fantastic deal.

picked it up yesterday.. it did have both barrels... was a bit dissipointed with the slug barrel... the original owner had a problem with the sight adjuster falling off. said he had lost 3 of them while hunting.. so he gorrila glued it in place. so much yellow glue oozing out from around the sight it almost made me sick... im going to cut all that out and redo the whole rear sight. i will post picks latter to day. he did tell me that the field barrel has never had a round through it. bought it new with both barrels and has only used it for deer hunting.... because of the glue i was able to talk him down to $125!!!!!!!!!

I have one. Mine is a 12 gauge, with a 28" modified choke. Their the same as a 1200/1300, just the stock is different. I have been after to get a smooth/rifled slug barrel for it, but don't want to pay so much for them.
