I'm wondering what the value may be on a Winchester 101, 12g, O/U in pristine condition might be, Serial #61***, also it's age, if anyone can help, Also, both barrels are Full choke. Thanks.
I don't know about the age.../and I don't know where to tell you to call - since FN now owns both Browning and Winchester....
In my area a fixed choke model 101 ...in Full and Full ...unless you have a real need for it ...is only worth $ 500 - $ 750 .../ if it was Mod and Mod it might be a little more ( maybe up to $1,000 ) ....
What are you going to do with a fixed --- Full choke gun ?? What is the chamber length ... I know they were made in a 12ga in 2 3/4" and 3" models..
August to November of 1963 according to the list in the back of the Blue Book.
Assuming it's a plain old 101 and not a Deluxe, Skeet, Trap, or whatever, it appears they're asking $995 and up. Way up. How does yours compare to this field model in 98%?
30" barrels are a plus these days .....Full and Full are a big negative...95% is pretty good condition ...
you just need to find the buyer that wants a Full choked gun ...or they can ream the chokes out a little to open them up ...or maybe send it to a company like Briley mfg...and have it fit for screw in chokes.../but to do that much work on it ...a guy would probably not want to pay much over $500 - for it ...
I sent my 101 to Mike Orlen, he said that only Briley can do the choke job. Very thin barrels.
Buy the time you get it done and buy some chokes, it's a 500 $ bill.
Great gun nicely made, mine kicked the snot out of me, it's not mine anymore.
