Wilson Combats' Armor Tuff

Has anyone here ever had a pistol re-finished by Wilson using their Armor-Tuff?

Pros vs. cons?

What was the turnaround time to get it back?

Would you do it again?

Thanks,
Tim

My Lightweight Protector came with Armor-Tuff finish. I have not been impressed. It showed appreciable holster wear inside a week. Wilson's service statement and reputation is such that they would probably refinish the gun as needed but then it would only wear again, but maybe I'll do it someday.

There is thread outlining ther pros and cons of this finish in the Wilson forum at http://www.1911forum.com

Like AAB I am unimpressed with Armor Tuff, but I heat that it is still better than Black T or Bearcoat. Hard Chrome still is the best. I am not sure what kind of warranty they offer on re-finishing, but as my Wilson is guaranteed for life I plan on refinishing the gun annually or semi-annually. I hear Wilson will turn these around pretty fast.
