Williams FP-600 fit issues

I recently purchased a Williams receiver site for a Remington 600. The install went relatively smooth, but upon further inspection I noticed the sight tilts slighty to the left.

I fiddled with it for awhile, and still the cant remains. Should I just leave it as is and test the accuracy out at the range??

or is this something that will impact accuracy to a high degree?

Any help is appreciated.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with the holes being drilled too low on the receiver?

Or maybe I'm just missing something entirely obvious.

It won't affect accuracy at all at any fixed range. But as you crank the sight up for extended ranges
(100's of yards) the impact point might gradually shift an inch or so left as you go, however.

Cut a sliver of soda pop can (usually~0.005" thickness) and slide it up under the bottom edge of
the mounting plate to where it stops against the bottom of the mounting screws and
tighten down again. A shim or two like that will angle the mounting plate bottom out a bit and
reduce (maybe even fix) the tilt.

Long tang sight guys (have to) do this all the time.
(No big deal) ;)

Thanks for the help. In the process of contacting Williams. And I may give that shim idea a whirl.

If this is for target shooting, no problem. Just get good zeros at all the ranges yo plan on shooting and record them, even if you have to adjust windage at each range.

If this is for hunting, simply zero at the longest range you are comfortable taking game with, then zero it at 100, if the group is still inside the boilermaker of a deer/elk/pig/etc then no need to adjust windage at all.
