Williams FireSights?

Anyone familiar with Williams FireSights?

They use fiber optic tubes to gather light and provide a high visibility three dot sight picture (red front, two yellow/green in rear). They're about $35 - $40 a set, and they make them for both my Ruger P-95 and my Ruger 10/22 carbine.

I'd like to know if anyone's used fiber optic dot sights, and what they think of them. Durable? How well do they work in bright sunlight and low light?

I have a Williams Fire Sight front post on my 10/22. It seems to work pretty well unless you are shooting from a dark area into a brightly lit area. I got the WGRS peep rear sight with it, and the set was well worth the $40.

I used them on a Ruger P-95.

They seemed to work best in BRIGHT SUNLIGHT or some medium light conditions. (There are times when its hard to see the sights in bright sunlight -- and they really help, then.)

In low light, I found them to actually be a negative -- 'cause there's no light to gather and there's also no little white dots to look at in their place.

I wouldn't buy another set -- but I shoot mostly indoors.
