Defending These Walls
Upon these very walls, I clearly write my name,
cus deep down inside me, burns a patriotic flame.
These walls of mine I do adore, and shall loyaly defend,
I will always protect them, even till the bitter end.
Some have tried to scale them, burn them, all to knock them down,
they’ve even come close, to your tiny little town.
We saw them coming, rumbling, signs seemed very clear,
some were up’n ready, others showed little or no fear.
Some say they’re already here, inside these very walls,
disassembling and eroding them, just to watch them fall.
I strain to see them coming now, I try always to inspect,
this land is ours it is, with great walls to protect.
But if its really true, that they’re amongst us here’n now,
we’d better look even closer, we all know why’n how.
Born with arms we learned to use, because we are free men,
we hold them high and shoot them straight, we never will give in.
Now we can see why attention is paid, to our arms this way,
these strangers who say they lead us, only want to take them away.
But fight we will eventually, to protect these walls of ours,
and jail those who’ve broken our trust, behind those iron bars.
But here I stand so brave and true, some others stand with me,
hoping others will soon realize, that it’s much better being free.
