Will Wilson Combat work on a rusted up Beretta 92?

So, some of you may have followed my old thread: "Should I buy this DAO 92 for $300/$350?" (I was trying to get $250 for it--and likely I can still buy it.)

It is a pretty worn gun, and I was wondering do you need a mostly new gun for Wilson to consider work, or will they fix up an old gun? It appeals to me to pay next-to-nothing for a gun that I like, then customize it for roughly the MSRP of a new one.

Oh, if anyone has any good suggestions for a custom shop that will do work on a 92 I'd take 'em!

That's a good question. I could go back to the LGS and take pictures, but no, I don't have any pictures. It is missing a lot of finish and the magazine that comes with the gun is pretty rusted up (not a big deal to me). It seems to function just fine, and has one of the best DA (it is DAO) triggers I've ever felt. The gun looks bad, but internally seems to have aged perfectly.

You should call Wilson and ask them.

Make sure you get a 92 in the receiver and slide configuration you want before committing to that level of work. Trying to catch a couple hundred dollars of savings on the front end with a beater, and then involving custom Wilson Combat work seems like it may not pay off in the end.

It is the configuration I want. I really like the DAO 92's, especially the one I saw. I'll try to make it up there, then repost pictures. But I suppose you are right, I should just call them.

Not really sure I understand the question but if I were send a pistol off for custom work it certainly wouldn't be rusty.
