If so CDNN has them on sale for $19.00
I am assuming so because they are co-listed ,but when you are finishing up your order they don't ask what specific model pistol your ordering the mag for.

please let me know

Thank You

I've heard conflicting answers on this one. Some have said "yes", and others have tried P88 mags and said that they didn't feed reliably. So, personally, I wouldn't take the chance at buying stuff that doesn't work 100%. IIRC, I think the P99 mags are slightly modified, but based on the P88 mags. Maybe different enough to cause problems.

It is generally accepted by P99 owners that Earl of Earl's Repair Service, Inc. is the most reliable source of information on the P99 and other Walther pistols.

For those unfamiliar with Earl's, here is what page one of his web site states:

Earl's Repair Service, Inc. is a Walther Representative in the U.S. and is an exclusive Importer, Distributor, and Factory Authorized Service and Warranty Center for Walther products manufactured in Ulm, Germany, including handguns, rifles, CO2 pistols, parts and accessories.

He advised me in writing that, "The P88 (15 shot) magazine is not recommended for the P99 because of liability reasons. It is only to be used in the P88".

Greyhound:

I found this picture of a P88 compact magazine (10-rounder) on Auctionarms.com

http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?ItemNum=2473145

It looks a lot like the P99 magazines.

I would call CDNN and clarify before buying, though. Judging by their super low price, I would say they were designed for the P88. I haven't seen prices this low on the 99 mags.

Also, try giving Earl a call when he gets back in town.

This may help

Here's a pic of a stripped P88 Compact. I'll also post a pic of some P99 9mm mags for comparison

P99 mags

As the pic says, 16-rounder on the left, and 10-rounder on the right. 9mm, of course.

I've tried it....and they don't work. P88 mags have different follower and lips. You could probably modify them to feed reliably, but for me, I'd search for P88 to use them with before I'd modify the mag. Full capacity mags for the P99 can be found on the open market, but like most that hold more than 10, they're expensive.....Dan in GA

Thanks for doing a little research for me

The way I understand it is the p88 mags are 1/16 inch longer when used in the p99..... these will be range mags... but I don't know if I can live with that... I may just send them back... several GT... TFL... forum reader answered my want to buy ad ( my luck a day after I purchased from CDNN) Thanks again stay in touch
BTW I solved the FTE problem with my p99 and it's a pleasure to shoot.

Thanks
