Will the Colts increase in value?

I have a few Colts like a Python 357 4" and a Gold Cup National Match Series 70. Will the value increase now that these are not available anymore? (Is this not the time to sell?)
Thanks,
Mike

Mike those guns will only depreciate, and quickly too. Now is the time to sell! I can help you out with that problem though, contact me via e-mail and I will make you an insultingly low offer for them. ;) :D

I haven't checked Gold Cup prices but Python prices are rising. Pickup a copy of Gunlist and see for yourself. In a few years I suspect the average Joe won't be able to afford a Python. Kind of like the current situation with Colt's SAA.

Oh boy! I bought a stainless 6" .44 Anaconda earlier this year for $399.00 and saw another (in .45 Colt) advertized last month in an ad here for $980.00!! I'd say they're going up alright!

I bought a Series 70 Gold Cup in June for $625. Three weeks later I was offered $1000 for it,probably due to all the wild rumors circulating about Colt at the time. I'm sure it will continue to increase in value though not at that initial rate. When to sell? Who knows? That's always a roll of the dice but if you do,start a rumor about Colt first. It might bump the price up a bit. :)

Mike,

I doubt seriously that Colt's 1911's are going to jump in price/value. There are way too many clones (bad and excellent) out there. The Python on the other hand is a once in a lifetime firearm and should be cherished until passed on or sold for that one last fling before you die!!! There simply aren't any clones (not sure they could be made) of the snake! It's a great firearm even though it gets a bad rap for reliability. Keep it clean and oiled and there isn't another revolver made that can touch it.
