will Ruger PC Carbine work with other mags?

I'm kind of interested in the little Ruger PC9, but I'm not finding the Hi-cap Ruger mags anywhere. The rifle's probably the cause of the shortage. Can the PC9 be made to use any other pistol mags, Taurus specifically? I remember hearing of some pistol caliber carbine that adapted to several different brands of mags, but I don't know if it was this one or not.

Thanks for your input

My buddy uses USA mags hi caps for his PC9. He's typically dosen't have a problem, but when I try to fire it: JAMOMATIC :(

Ive heard of the ruger being converted to glock mags but not taurus. You may want to do a search on this forum....i remember reading about the glock conversion a while back. USA magazines sells hi capacity mags for this gun but i have been reluctant to try them. Some people have told me they are garbage others say they have no problems...

Onslaught, The carbine you are refering to would be the "Kel-Tec Folder" (or kel-tec somthing). This is a folding carbine that breaks a the breachface and swings the bbl up and back to the stock. The alternate magazines are accommodated by changing the grips. Said to accommodate Ruger, Glock and Berretta mags and possibly others.

I would check into a Marlin Camp .45 (or Camp 9), these take 1911 mags or in the case of the Camp 9, S&W. I know that you can find Hi-caps for the 1911, as I found (and should have bought) a drum mag for the 1911 at the last Gun Show I was at. While impractical for a H/G the drum would have been sweet on a Camp 45! Luck.
anodes.

Onslaught, try the auction sites for Ruger hi-caps. They are out there, as I just picked up quite a few. SamC ;)

The taurus mags can be converted to work in the PC9. You just have to cut the notch for the mag catch into the front of the mag body. I have a whole box of them I'm going to get around to converting one of these days. Nice thing is you can still use the mags in the taurus afterward.
