Will hot Geco 9mm ammo harm my M-9?

Hi,
I have an M-9 Limited Edition Beretta pistol. I fired 50 rounds of Geco brand German ammo through it the other day. This stuff felt at least as hot as NATO ball. I really liked the accuracy and reliabilty of this ammo. Should I refrain from using it in my M-9?
Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. That's why we switched to the 9mm so as to be NATO compliant.

GECO is good ammo. So is Hertenburg if you can find it.

Hi,
I live in Dayton Ohio, and I found it in one of our local shops. I believe Natchez also has it on their website.

The same advise applies to Geco as applies to any other hot ammo. Geco is loaded to 'normal' pressure/velocity for the European market, so 9mm pistols that come out of the European market like Berettas, Glocks and Sigs were designed to work with that ammo.

While it is perfectly safe to use this ammo, it will accelerate wear on the firearm. TANSTAAFL.
