Will FAL Bolt Hold-Open Work/Fit on L1A1?

Would like to know the feasability of "retrofitting" a hold-open from another variant so that the bolt will stay open after the last round. Any experience or advice?

You can retrofit from another variant or pull yours out and fit a roll pin and file it to fit and function.
