Will aftermarket 1911 parts work on Paraordnance?

I've got a Para P13 that I would like to add an extended slide release and extended safety to. Will aftermarket 1911 parts (Wilson, etc.) work?

Thanks!

But... you didn't answer the question: will they work on a Para?

The ParaOrdnance P-13 is a double stack, and I'll bet they take different slide releases and safeties, too -- as I think the slide is a bit wider... (Just guessing, as I don't know anyone who has one.)

Most parts are standard 1911. In fact, if you buy the gunsmith kit from Paraordnance to build your own, you only get: frame, magazine, magazine release, grips, grip screws, trigger, and contour plate )which is necessary for Series 70 pistols with no firing pin safety). You might need special safeties if they are extended, not because of width of frame where shaft passes thru but in order for the paddle to clear the grips. If you order parts from Ed Brown, I think they have a special area for those necessary for Paraordnance.

If you use a kings slide stop.
you will have to thin it to clear the para
plunger tube. Also you need a bevel at the bottom to clear the top of the grip. (slight) The inside of a para slide stop
has a relief cut in the rear so it does not interfear with the rounds in the mag. you can copy this on the new one. para's benafit from a detent in the slide stop also. thumb safety should not present a problem.
