Will a western belt work for IWB concealed carry

If it's only single-layer or two thin layers, probably not. Width should be at least 1-1/4" or even better 1-1/2". A rigid belt distributes the weight much better than a flexible belt.

You would have more specific on your definition of a western belt. If you mean a ranger style belt, the can work well.

Quality is more important than style, and a good holster maker(I belive a search will find several on this forum) will work with you to produce a fully functional belt for carry, that suits your taste.

Good luck,
Blair

Thanks guys for the advise. I decided today to go with a Bullhide Belt from the Beltman. I know there will be no questions when using a true Gun Belt!
