This was on a different forum. What I can't get over is, why are people so ignorant? It's one thing to have a preference to certain makes of handguns. Does that make it a right to rant off dumbass remarks like that? Colt was just lucky to win the damn contract. The idiocy of some people absolutely amazes me.

I used to own 4 Colts but now only 3. Sorry, but I'll take my Wilson or Les Baer "parts" gun over a new Colt any day. Hell, with the BS that Colt pulls, I'll take a Charles Daly over a new Colt.

I apologize for this rant. I'm just bitching outloud.

Colt made a deal with the devil? I think this guy has had his head in the sand for the last 6 months or experiences selective hearing and didn't get the story straight. S&W did sell out and deserve whatever happens to them.
 
I have not seen actual evidence that Colt made any deal. They cut out parts of their product line that simply were not selling, and then took a rather pious attitude about it.

S&W did make a deal, but really is taking it on the chin. Customers and distributors are furious. Worse perhaps is that cities that agreed to the deal have reneged and are still suing, while Philadelphia has joined the crowd, claiming recompense for past "damage" no matter what S&W does in the future.

Of course the real motive of the anti-gun gangsters is to put the gun companies out of business, but they can't say that. Tort law only allows recovery of damages, it can't be used intentionally to destroy an industry.

I guess the problem with freedom of speech is everyone gets the chance to voice their opinion. Then again maybe that's not a problem at all, so long as we disagree without being disagreeable.

The guy's remarks speak for themselves, no need to burn him at the stake, he already self combusted.
