My answer: Because a lunatic crashed through the window of a Luby's (in Killeen, Texas in 1991) and just began shooting; killed 23 people and wounded 20!
Now if such an odd and dastardly event can happen in a pleasant and benign place like Luby's... well, then... Just about anything is possible... and none of us can know when it might be coming.
