Why was my thread placed in the law and civil rights forum?

You would do better to address your complaint to a Moderator in a PM rather than making a big dramatic scene about it in public.

But sometimes in order to show that something is wrong you need to make a big dramatic scene in order to effect change. I guess I didn't realize that forum was wrong until I became a victim of it. It's wrong.
The people that mod this place claim to be good Americans. If they can't see it's wrong then they are phonies. And yes, they can say it is a benevolent dictatorship but if they say that then they need to tell people what they are.

I think I already know what they are and I will be moving on.

Let the insults on me begin. Good bye

While I think your post shows a certain level of ignorance about Constitutional law, I won't insult you for lack of knowledge. I would simply suggest that you research how the first amendment applies to government vs. private entities. Unless the owners/moderators of the Firing Line have obtained a degree of Constitutional authority that I'm not aware of, I think the distinction is relevant.

Non sequitar. The complaint here is that someone "special" moved a thread into a forum where they can continue to discuss it, but us peons -- including the author of the original message -- cannot.

(It appears that while I was typing this, the thread got moved back to General)

michael-J, you're correct about the Legal forum. I guess threads shouldn't be moved there since that is a flaw in the "invitation only" aspect. The topic of the thread wasn't about the handguns, it was about confiscation so I've moved it to the General Discussion forum in spite of all the drama and furor. You would have gotten the exact same effect had you politely asked me or John to move it back or to a more accessible forum.
