Why shouldn't I buy a walther p22?

Can anybody come up with a good reason??? I had money designated for a few other things, but this caught my eye at the gun store.

If I get this, I can finally give my dad back his ruger Mk I. ;)
 
What purpose will it serve, i.e. target shooting, self-defense, plinking, etc? I think you need to look at that first. I would not compare it to the Ruger as far as overall utility (I don't know which barrel length you have now). .22 caliber is too small for self-defense - I wouldn't even consider it for that. Target shooting or plinking, I could think of a lot of other .22 handguns that would do better for a lot less. How much do these run?
 
YOUR WIFE WILL BE JEALOUS, YOU TOUCHING AND CARESSING THE GUN WITH MORE EMOTION THAN YOU HAVE TOUCHED HER WITH IN A VERY LONG TIME.
