Why oh why did I go to the fort worth gun show... & CZ questions

Unlike the other similar post by Glenn Dee I did not come home with a new gun. thats the problem. I held my 3 new dream pistols and one specifically has been haunting me ever since.

So the first gun I picked up was a glock 17 zev dragonfly. The stippling felt great, the trigger was amazing it was just the complete package! And for the low price of $1800 you to can have a tricked out piece of plastic! (I love my glocks but thats way to much to invest in a polymer gun!)

Next one I picked up was the smoothest action I have ever felt on a pistol. The slide felt like a hot knife through butter. It was the Wilson Combat Beretta 92g. Everything on it felt amazing, it was sitting about $1300. I thought it was my new dream gun. (which is funny because I've never been a huge fan on the 92 series, but the lucky gunner and yankee marshal have peeked my interest recently) But my new dream gun was just a few tables down...

I went to the gun show with my buddy who bought a glock 40 M.O.S. and man its a sweet gun, but I was looking for a CZ P07 to compliment my urban grey suppressor ready sp-01 tactical. While I was looking I handled a CZ 75B shadow tac II:eek:. Having never handled anything other than standard CZ's This thing blew my mind. It was sitting at about $1400 and calling my name. The grip with the thin grippy aluminum felt amazing, the balance of the traditional 75b without the bulk of the accessory rail on the sp01 just felt perfect. It had night sights and It pointed naturally for me. Then I felt the trigger, both double and single action and the reset. My life was changed. I could not believe a trigger could be that good!! I have owned 1911s and done trigger jobs on them and still I would take that CZ over any 1911 I have ever felt (sorry 1911 guys!).

Being a newly wed I cant imagine spending that much on a firearm but I have considered selling my g4 glock 34 and my SP-01 to buy it.

But then again I have never done any trigger work to my SP-01, its completely stock. I have heard amazing things about Cajun gun works, what would yall suggest from them for a similar trigger feel? Also has anyone tried out LOKgrips? The thin G10 boogies look like they would give a similar feel to the almost $100 grips:eek: the shadow tac II has.

Well thanks for reading, I couldn't help but talk about those guns, they all felt amazing.

Just wait until you have kid/s --- not only did it slow me down from buying anything gun related, my trips to the range have been lessened, too.
I have been trying to convince my wife that we need a tactical diaper bag in desert sand or olive drab but no luck, yet. I know she will break soon.

Those "breathed on" CZ's can be habit forming. My CZ75 SP-01 Shadow Target ll also has a beautifully operating trigger system and feels good in my hand. It shoots very well, also. But, my CZ75 Tactical Sport shoots equally well; and, it is less expensive. And, probably, not as pretty.

After months of deliberation and waiting on a Wilson Beretta 92G Brigadier I finally cancelled my order. Several months after that, I saw a NIB one on GB. The ad claimed the gun to be more modified than the standard Wilson Beretta, part of a special order for a LE agency. More expensive, naturally. I bought it and have not been disappointed.

I've decided most of what is being pushed as superior in the gun world is hype. The three guns I mentioned, from my point of view, are superior to their run-of-the-mill counterparts. But, I suspect it's because they were given special attention by humans. My ignorance factors into this opinion, but much of the options don't improve performance so much as they improve appearance.

Other than the tuned trigger, is there any other substantial difference between the Shadow Target ll and a CZ 75B?

I like the standard trigger on my 75BD but I wouldn't mind it being a little lighter. Anyone know the brand and pricing of a great aftermarket trigger for it or is the best bet to let a good gunsmith work on it?

CZ9Joe - best i can tell the best bang for your buck will be going through Cajun gun works. There are multiple things you can do to help with the trigger. Ive heard getting a spring kit(hammer return spring, firing pin block plunger spring, firing pin spring and trigger return spring) is the cheapest way to clean it up a lot. I am trying to save up for the pro package on mine. But the next most popular is the short reset kit
