Why no G&A tribute to Gale?

I assumed that press times would keep it from happening for a while, but I have yet to see them even note his passing. From all accounts, Gale was a wonderful man who contributed a lot to the firearms industry and to us at TFL. Did I miss something, or are they just ignoring our departed friend?

Lead times are such that I wouldn't have expected to see anything before now. The next month or two is when I'd expect to see something.

I hope this is the case, but it seems to be taking longer than usual. I, for one, just miss the "old man". The place just isn't the same without him.

We shall find out soon enough.
Gail was a living disproof of the defeatist
canard that one individual can't make a substantial difference. He _did_. He and
a few other wise men have made the rec.guns newsgroup the forum of enlightenment
and source of knowledge. Now that Gail is
gone, one can see clealry how much his
contributions are missed. The NG seems
lifeless.

I don't expect much. From what I gleaned from my few conversations with Gale and many queries of others, this was a man not personally known in "the right" circles. He seemed to stay to himself, his family, his company and his genius.

To my knowledge, Gale was not a mag-rag contributor or a public trainer. As the business was handed over to capable hands (Rock et al), he bacame interested in the marvels of the internet. I believe his greatest public interaction occured in that medium.

Again, this is based on scanty info of a personal nature. Just my sense of the man.
