Why isn't there a Glock 27-C?

I hear all the time about little guns being ported, and how it helps control them with hot ammo. Why doesn't Glock port the G-27? One would think that it would have noticably LESS recoil. Chances are, it would feel like the G-26. Has anyone heard a reason for this? I guess it would be called the Glock 27-C. I've heard it's very helpful in the Glock 23 and 22, and the larger calibers as well.

Thanx,
Ben

I think the Glock 34 & 35s are about the ugliest guns out there. A gun has to be classy looking IMO, and the extented slide/underlug(?) BEYOND the frame is about as ugly as it gets. Obviously I don't advocate any more of those things no matter what the caliber.

It would be pretty easy to make a 27-C though... or at least one would THINK it would be pretty simple. I would also get the Pearce Plus One Extension for one of the mags to increase capacity and balance out the looks. And don't tell me that looks aren't important to you. We NEVER go out of our way to buy an ugly gun. Anyways, anybody else know why there isn't a Glock 27-C?

ALL Glocks are ugly IMO. But I love them! The Glock 26/27 are extra ugly too (the short butt makes it look distorted-- that didn't stop me from buying a Glock 26! :) They are great guns. I like the G34/G35 feel and sight radius-- and the G35 in particular is a tackdriver (unlike most .40's).

Regarding the G27...I have seen some with compensators on them. I believe you need to have it put on after (some gunsmiths will do the job). If I remember right, Gun Tests tested a compensated Glock 27 in the past--or it could have been another magazine don't remember exact magazine.

I asked two Glock reps that question with regards to the 33. They told me that there were no plans to compensate this gun. I asked them why and I can't remember their answer. I'm getting old, so no laughing. I'm just responding to let you know that this doesn't seem to be on their list of things to do.

Thanx guys... actually I think most Glocks are good looking pistols (except 34-35 and standard 26-27). The Glock 27 is certainly distorted looking, but that's why I'd get the Plus One extension on one of the mags. It balances out the gun much better.

take care,
Ben

Based on seeing how Glock has to remove a lot of metal from the top of the slide when they compensate, I would think that on something as small as a G27, this might make the slide too light. I guess they might be able to alter some other aspect of the slide to, er, compensate for the removed metal, but this might be a bigger project than just doing what they did for the larger models.

I have a feeling that people have compensated the mini-Glocks by using ports on an extended barrel though.
