Why is H&K53 cheaper than MP5?

I have been looking for an MP5 & I have noticed the H&K53 sells for less than the MP5. I am not too fond of the 9mm round & have always liked the .223" round. I can't figure out why the MP5 is more popular & goes for a higher price.
I understand the MP5 is very controlable as a machine gun & FBI trainees usually can get qualified in only (1) day in Quantico, VA with the MP5. Is it perhaps the lack of control why the H&K53 is a less desirable choice for a machine gun?
I would appreciate any and all opinions. Thanks in advanced.

the mp-5 is more money simpley because more people want them,,, supply and demand.. I have a K&K-51. it is worth a lot less than my MP-5.. a lot louder but not as many people want them..
Part of the draw is the mp-5 dosent have as much penatration.. easier to shoot and ammo is cheaper,,
