Why EVERYONE should use Fiocchi in their P-32

I have seen a lot of remarks on TFL to the effect that Fiocchi ammo seems to feed better, more reliably in Kel-Tec P32's then anything else.

There has been speculation as to it being the shape of the round, slickness of the case, etc.

Well, I think I have it figured out :)

As compared to Winchester .32 rounds, Fiocchi's brass case has a much wider extraction ring (I'm not sure that's the right terminology). More importantly, it is less steeply angled then the Winchester ammo, and I suspect all others. This is important because the magazine in a P-32 slots the round above it in the extraction ring of the round below it, causing a lot of friction when the slide is cycled.

So anyway, regardless of it's higher velocity, I'm sold on Fiocchi.

FWIW :)

You are correct, IMO. FOr that reason, Fiocchi ball was the only ammo that would function correctly in my ex-GF's PPKS (until the gun got worked on)

Maxinquaye,
Holy sh..!
You're right! I got out the magnifying glass and had a look at both. Quite a difference under the glass. The Fiocchi FMJ works well in my Guardian. It has replaced the Silvertip HP as my carry load. I load my P-32 with Hydra-Shoks. Even though the Fiocchi is "hotter" ammo, the Hydra-Shoks seem to have a little more recoil. Strange.
Thanks for clearing up the little mystery. (I still think Fiocchi chambers more slickly. :))
