Why doesn't CZ make a revolver?

Valid point. But $2K for a 715, that has a minimum barrel length of 4 inches.

There's got to be opportunity in the pretty much given up, six round, 2-4", other than square butt, market.

"...engineering one from scratch..." That'd be more trouble than it's worth. And you'd end up with yet another Smith clone.
"...reasonably priced..." That's a very subjective thing.

Or Ruger clone, or High Standard clone, or Charter Arms clone. Rethinking the revolver doesn't necessarily get you to S&W. A lot of possible ways to do revolvers.

But, yeah, a lot of work for a niche product.

re-thinking the revolver doesn't necessarily lead to a clone of anything

It would be a pretty hard sell to get CZ to spend money to develop a revolver that:
Has little market in Europe.
Would have to compete with long established competitors like S&W and Ruger for the US market.
Would compete with their own subsidiary (Dan Wesson).

A quality reasonably priced copy of a S&W revolver wouldn't be a bad thing. A 400.00 gun would not be a competitor to a 2000.00 one.

Then you are talking about the Alfa Proj revolvers,,,
Made in the Czech Republic and imported by Czechpoint.

I think they are a bit over $400.00,,,
But of course, like everyone else,,,
They are all out of stock.

Rock Island's importing them now.

This is in addition to their own Colt-clone-ish M200 and M206.
