From today's newspaper.
As background, Pauline Hanson is a politician. her party, One Nation, is (was) a minority party that dared speak out against UN agreements, that spoke FOR gun ownership, that wanted a moratorium onm immigration until employment here had risen, that wanted overseas industries based in Australia to pay Australian taxes, that wanted ALL Australians to be equal (not some minority groups being MORE equal).
Of course, the media howled her down, calling her racist, mocking her lack of university education, deriding her for her previous occupation (shopowner), as did all the "established" political parties.
Anyway, that's the background.
Here's the article that I find totally outrageous -- and so far it's only been gunowners who have complained!!

A telemovie about the assassination of former One Nation leader Pauline Hanson was no more offensive than the average action flick, its director said today.
The movie, shown late on Sunday night on Sydney community television station
Channel 31, showed Ms Hanson being stalked and then shot by a gangster in a bid to redeem his soul.
A caller to Sydney radio station 2UE said he had been horrified when he tuned into the broadcast accidentally.
"I'm not a Pauline Hanson fan but to be honest, I don't think you should be having a show promoting the assassination of any political (figure)," he said.
"It also showed how to kill police that get in your way, it had some gratuitous stabbing of police ... there was lots of swearing, stabbing, guns and when I say swearing it was the f-word that was used."
But director Bob Short, who made the 69-minute movie for Channel 31 contributor Actively Radical TV, denied it was offensive or overly violent.
"It's no more than would be in any action movie," he said.
"It's not a how-to manual ... it's a piece of fiction, it was basically a film about ideas and moral conundrums."
Mr Short said the movie - The Lone Gunman Theory - told the story of a gangster who became involved in a gang hit that went wrong and then discovered the only way to rectify his sins was to kill a bad person.
He said the language used was not inappropriate for a 9.30pm timeslot. The
1997 production had been broadcast before without any complaints.[/quote]
So, because you don't like a politician's politics, that makes them a "bad person" and it's fine to kill him or her?
By what strange, twisted philosophy do you rectify (sic) sins and redeem your soul by murdering another human being?
This is sick and twisted.
Rant mode off.
Time to go home from work and have a cold beer while I wait for the valium to kick in
