Why are Tasco scope lens cover colored green?

You mean the removable lens covers? The one Tasco that I own (a 2x-7x airgun scope) came with a sort of amber colored front lens cover. I would have preferred it to have been clear. While I have never checked, perhaps they are polarized? Just a SWAG.
 
If you are refering to the actuall glass on the scope it's for anti-reflection purposes. The green coat eliminates the glare caused from sunlight. Actuall removeable lense covers your guess is as good as mine.
