Hey all,
I was just wondering what the deal is with people charging 2 grand for a Dragunov. Why can't they import them anymore? Is it because the ATF regulations or is it some agreement that they have made with the US? You would think that they could change a few things about it and bring it in. I would like to have one just for curiosity sake but I will not pay 2 grand for one. They are not worth any more than 7 or 8 hundred bucks.

Thanks

Nala

The Romak is not a real Druganov, it is an imitation based on AK internal systems. It is much less accurate than a real one.

The only drags that you can get for 2 grand is the chinese copy of the russian. A genuine russian will set you back at least 3500-4000 dollars.

Why, because the few that are in the US now are the only ones you will ever see here, IMO. As with many weapons, these have the terrible detachable magazine, is semi-automatic, and (horror of horrors) has a bayonet lug, in case you get the urge to do some drive-by bayoneting , and for those reasons can not be imported any more.

Another way to go is with a TIGR (Tiger). When sent to the US it had a thumbhole stock, and had about 4 inches lopped off the front, removing the flash hider and bayo lug. Other than that it is a Drag. You can still find them for around 1000 dollars or so. The furniture to Drag configuration will run about 200 dollars and 10 round mags about 75 each. So, for about 12-1300 dollars you can have a pretty close to the real thing Drag...but not quite.
