Why AOL do that to me ?

I have been kicked out of AOL 4 times in the last few weeks . That sign saying I have performed an illegal action has preceded 2 of these ousters and the other 2 "just happened " . ALL FOUR TIMES were one nano second after I clicked on Firing Line on my list of favorite places . Like the command has been interjected into the master program to show what can happen to you if you want TFL and they think you don't need it or something . Coincedence ?

Why did AOL do that?

Because they're AOL!

They operate under the same rules as the "Elite Left" ie rules don't apply to them. But you were asking about a programing issue not politics so the answer is that AOL sucks.

A***OL*

The message about performing an illegal action is from the computer....not AOL. Your computer is not processing something right and it "brain farts".

I have the same problem . " WAol has performed a Illegal Action" . Aol has Been doing this crap for years 1st it was loss of mouse controll Then they tried Waol Illegal action . I have been kicked off over 30 times in the last two weeks .

Use to get the 'illegal' messages all the time when I was on AOL using the AOL browser in Gastonia, NC. Using AOL/AOL browser in Cleveland right now (visiting). Have not had any 'illegal' problems up here of all the times I've used it. (Been kicked off frequently due to 'connection lost'. Personally, I think that's how AOL can say more people log onto there crap than any other because people have to keep on relogging because of lost connections.)

Normally use Netscape through a local ISP when I'm at home. That AOL browser is a piece of crap. Once you log onto AOL, minimize the browser and boot up Netscape or Explorer. You might also want to try upgrading that crappy browser if you want to stick with AOL.

I have the same problem with AOL, and it usually happens at the same time -- as TFL is loading. But, it also happens when I attempt to load other high-graphics pages and stuff -- I blame it on my old computer...

Don't go to the ALO V 5 upgrade. It willtake over your computer and everytime you boot up it will cause your computeer to connect to the www. Several class action law suits have been started over that little aspect of the new brouser. http://www.pcmike.com has information on it, you'll have to search the web site.

And people thought Microsoft was bad.

I work for a large ISP (which one I can't officially say) and an illegal operation when using AOL is directly related to the AOL software or some other file or program. You can try to use anther browser but if dll files are damaged or other AOL files are damaged, it won't matter, the software is probably damaged. Could be hundreds of things. You need to click on "Details" and write down the module name (i.e.-"....in module supersub.ddl.....") then call 1-888-265-8006. Then, its up the ability of the technician on the line to help you out.

Good luck. Hope that helps!

Although I don't really like everything AOL does, the lawsuit referred to is a result of people not taking the time to read the instructions while going through the installation.

I won't go into the details, but trust me, people don't follow directions. The lawsuit doesn't have a chance.

If AOL made cars every twenty minutes the car would pull over and say “you have been driving for a while now. Do you want to continue?"
