I was never a fan of mouse guns. but after firing several seecamp copys i'm starting to come around. it seems to me that the kel-tec variaty is the king when choosing the ultralight catagory, and according to the search function they work well. for those fans of the p-32 tell me why i should get the kel tec instead of say the guardian or something simular.

Mine has been totally reliable (zero malfunctions), and it is extremely thin and light. You can put it in a pocket holster and never know its there. It makes carry possible anytime.

Its also dirt cheap, so if it gets scratched or banged up, its not gonna break my heart.

Never shot one, but if you're looking in this class of gun, you might want to consider the Kahr MK9. Check my page for more info. The MK9 has been utterly reliable:

I have only had my P-32 for about a month now. Reasons that *I* like it?

1. Not only small but LIGHT. Fits in any pocket and does not sag.
2. Close to invisable. Sometimes even *I* am not sure I have it in my pocket.
3. 8 rounds of the right .32 ammo WOULD be a deterrent (in my opinion).
4. If I am in and out of my car, it is EASY to remove from my pocket and leave in my car (if I have to) without being noticed. (My 9mm or revolver are definitely easier to spot if I have to take them off.)

On the other hand, trigger pinches my trigger finger slightly making extended time at the range a little uncomfortable. (I think there is a rubber boot for the trigger???)

Had one FTE so far in only about 75 rounds. FTE was cleared very quickly. Otherwise it has been OK. Accuracy is decent once I realized the paint they use for a front sight only covered the left "half" of the sight. (Sights are pretty bad though.)

I think it offers excellent concealability regardless of dress and offers "adequate" power for most of my needs. (I carry something larger when I can.) I really like the NAA Guardian .32 but favor the KEL-TEC because of the weight.

This thread couldn't have some at a better time. I was just about to start a thread just like it, wanting to know what people's experience had been with them ;)

I sold mine due to continuing reliability problems.

Seems to be a hit or miss kind of thing, although it sounds like people are more consistantly being happy with the newer ones. If the thing had worked 100% I would still have it. You can carry it in ANYTHING!

Comparisons were made previously between the P32, the P11, and the Khar, and I have 2 cents to add.

The P32 has a considerably lighter trigger than the P11.

The P32 is so much smaller than either of these, its not really even in the same class. You will definitely be able to conceal the P32 better, and I dont mean a little better, I mean a whole lot better.

Maybe I am just weird, but it has been my experience that if I can conceal a mid-sized gun like the P11 or Khar, then I can just as well conceal a full size gun.

Let us review some of the Keltec's selling points:
1. Thin.
2. Light.
3. Locked breech.

It is thin, too thin for me. The grip doesn't fit my hand well at all.
It is, undeniably, one of the lightest repeating pistols available.
The locked breech doesn't impress me. It is still a .32. The overwhelming majority of .32s have been blowback operated because that is all that is necessary with such a low pressure round.
Go visit http://www.ktog.org/ and read the long litany of problems associated with the P-32. I own one and have experience with several more and they simply aren't worth sacrificing reliability, durability, and dependability just to save a few ounces in carry weight.

I own a Kel-Tec P-40 and am fairly satisfied with it. It sells at a great price, feels good, looks good and is perfect for concealed carry. However, I did have to put in some of my own time and effort before I trusted the gun to carry.

Right out of the box, it didn't like to load hollowpoints, and the slide release lever needed Heman to release. About 30 mins with some 400 and 600 grit sandpaper and she's working smooth as butter now. I'd advise the trigger shoe and bolt on side clip accesories from Kel-Tec. They're rather inexpensive and make it a much more functional and comfortable gun to own.

Just my .02
