Who's tried the Spectre?

I've heard about this weapon, from Alchemy Arms, for some time, but just read about it in the newest rag. Seems like an interesting blend, but I haven't found anyone that's actually seen one.

Does AA have anything else out there? What's their reputation?

Do I have to buy one?
 
Seen one, haven't handled it (my best friend is the designer/manufacturer's brother-in-law). Hoping to weasel one out of my friend and get it to a range!!! I've read all the articles on it (to date) and discussed its design "philosophy" with my friend. Except for an early prototype version which had some mechanical failures, it seems to be getting rather good reviews.

Will post more on it if I get a chance to exercise one of them.

What was so repulsive about the thing? Writers love it. It takes a good picture. Everything seems to be properly placed (no trigger on the front sight...)

What's the problem?
 
I seem to recall the Spectre as being just a tiny bit to big for concealed carry.:rolleyes:

It looks like the picture is reversed. What looks like the right side of the gun is actually the left.

That's what it looks like to me, anyway.
 
Alchemy Arms

I knew that Alchemy Arms made pretty decent after market parts for Glocks. I have their 3.5lb connector installed on my G26, but what's this I hear about them making whole guns???? I have not so much as even seen the critter. Is it on dealer shelves yet??? What does it look like??? Does it come in .45ACP???? Inquiring minds want to know!!!!!;)

I would very much like to know what your dislikes were for this pistol. I personally haven't gotten to shoot one and I would like to know what to expect if I ever do get the chance.

Is this company still in existance? Their website is still up.
