I'm trying to come up with a list of currently made guns in 9x18.I know CZ has one, does Bersa or any American manufacturer?

Well, I know that IZHEVSKY MEKHANICHESKY ZAVOD (Baikal) in Russia still produces the "traditional" Makarov pistol along with the MP-448 & the BAIKAL-442, which looks like a "Makarov" with a square trigger guard.

I think RADOM (Poland) might still be producing the VANAD P-83.

The FEG (Hungary) PA 63.

I'm not up to speed on all the manufacturers in Europe, but I think that is where you would find pistols in 9x18 being produced. To my knowledge, no U.S. based manufacturer is producing a gun chambered for the 9x18 round.

I think that the list of commonly available 9x18 pistols are limited to Makarov, FEG, CZ and Vanad. I have seen pictures of a Walther in 9x18 but I don't know if it was some kinda knock-off.

For current production Mak guns...the CZ83 is still made but not imported into the USA anymore. If you find one..jump.
FEG is still making the SMC918...again not imported anymore. The PA63's are surplus guns..the ones I have seen and heard of, anyway.
Radom is making and importing the Vanad...Ive seen them and according to a friend..is not really any better than a plain jane Mak. But very collectable, with a price that reflects that.
The plain Makarov, Russian, E. German, Hungarian, Bulgarian etc etc. are still in circulation with the Russian..Baikal still producing guns. I saw a brand new (may be old but still NIB) IJ 71 at a shop just recently.

Past that I dont know...shoot well

Sierra:

The 9x18 Walther is definitely NOT chambered for the Makarov round. I believe it is chambered for a round known as 9x18 Super or 9x18 Police. A couple of these Walthers have popped up on the auction boards in the last year. I've never handled one personally, but they're supposed to be very nice little pistols.

Take care. Marko
