people like us who always did shoot a lot i know. but these millions of new gun owners are the ones who tipped demand off the scale?

if you have links of good info on these millions of new gun owners, please give. i would love to read.

who are these people?

i can only guess its people who never cared about guns but they worry about whats going on around us. they buy a .22lr cause its the easiest to shoot and they don't plan on practicing much. sounds like they need a shotgun, even if its only a .410. but i see buckshot and slugs in every walmart and local stores i go to. cabela's has a big stack of 000 buck for .410.

am i missing something? does anyone have any idea how many factories we have that produce .22lr? how many .22lr rounds are they putting out each day? who is buying all that?

Not sure about the production, but I know a lot of people are buying it up. I've seen more than a few bulk packs showing up here and there. That may figure into the supply scenario if more manufactures are dumping their little hundred packs into 1600-2000 round bulk packs. Figure each person that would buy a couple hundred rounds are now snapping up a 2000 round pack because there's nothing else there regardless of how much they actually shoot of it.

Doomsday preppers believe our dollar,if you have any, will be rendered worthless by inflation.22 lr ammo will be one of the barter currencies.Eight Yellow Jackets gets you a bag of potato chips.
I'm only semi-joking.

Boot laces,tobasco sauce,and Scotch,yep,and 22 lr you can trade your way ..
