hehe, Gramps<VBG> checkin in! Shiners all around! First round is on me!
Well, Mom and B2(My Nick for the little fella
) are doing fine. I checked out KB Toys (As well as the local gun shop
) for some
Veryun-pc toys. What I found is a whole lot of neat stuff!!!
First off the vitals.
Name-Burke Alan the Second. Named after Bonehead Jr, and with your's in crime's middle handle
A whopping 8lb 12 oz, at 21 inches-Almost 3 inches over sawed off legal length
And pretty darn near the weight of a Mc Bros "Big 50". He's a heafty little varmit
The little guy and Mom had a pretty rough go of it, and during the C-section he inhaled a bit of fluid and is in an O2 tent. Now, I see this as a bit of divine providence, in that he and Gramps are going to do a WHOOOOOLEEEEEE lot of camping.
DIL, is pretty special
Her comment, was NO GUNS-yet! Let him get to 5 or so
Son said, yeah but that doesn't mean no knives
Since she has asked about a hunting trip, I figure a sweet Browning BPS in 20 ga may win her over. ( Got one in the safe
)The order goes in for a Randall in the morning
Or maybe a Marbles
Or even a Cetan
.
On the gun side, I pretty much have it figured out. First off is going to be a Browning Buckmark Challenge. Got one all picked out as a Grandpa special <G>. Next will be a Browning Lever action in .22lr, again got that all picked out and stowed in the safe. From here, the sky is the limit! I have some ideas for future guns,a Father, Son, Grandpa set of Custom 1911's, but have to get the details down
Oh yeah, this Gramps thing really, really rocks! hehe, feel like a young 'un again!
I really appreciate the outpouring from the *family*. With *relatives* like this, the kid has it made <VBG>.
Got'aa recover from the celebrating (Killians Red) with Grandma,(It may call for a rousing chase around the house
)so I have to keep it short.
More to follow <G>
