Who Wants To Be A JPFO Member? Episode 3

This is a continuing contest. The object is to support RKBA in an entertaining and thought-provoking manner. The prize is one JPFO membership. Any TFL member may play. The contest consists of one political question. The winner is the TFL member who is first to correctly answer the question in a reply to this topic. I will announce the winner and close the contest with a subsequent reply to the topic. My decision, once posted, will be final; no appeals will be expected or desired. It is the winner's responsibility to provide me a postal address by e-mail so that I can mail a postal money order made out to JPFO. Kindly send me an e-mail if you have any questions.

Here is the question:

Who will be the Republican Party vice-presidential nominee?

Good luck. This contest episode will remain open until the nominee is selected at the Republican Party national convention, 31 July - 3 August 2000.

You all made some good choices so far. Many other plausible picks are still left. My opinion is that the nominee will not be a US senator.

Bush Names Cheney As Running Mate

by TOM RAUM
Associated Press Writer

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Texas Gov. George W. Bush introduced his running mate Dick Cheney to a cheering crowd of supporters Tuesday, calling him a ''valuable partner'' who will help lead Republicans to the White House.

A week before GOP delegates formally nominate the Bush-Cheney ticket, Bush turned to the man who headed his three-month search process -- bypassing several prominent Republicans who had vied for the job.[/quote]

No winner.
