F F. Guffey New member Oct 19, 2016 #2 Who says? I am sure it was not me, I am the one that said when I want to know how hard the lead is I drop the bar; if it makes a dead sound the lead is soft and if it makes a high (ring) pitch sound the lead is hard. F. Guffey
