Who owns a Polish WZ-48 rimfire trainer?

I've been wanting a full military training rifle for some time now,,,
I want it to be a shooter but really it's for my collection.

After work today I'm driving to meet a C&R holder,,,
He has offered one for sale at $230.00.

This is probably a silly question to ask, but,,,
What kind of accuracy can I expect from a rifle like this?

If it will slay tin cans at 50 yards I'll be happy enough,,,
But if it's more accurate you won't hear me complain too loudly. ;)

I have had one for a number of years paid about $100 for it in 2010-2011. It was like new and appeared to never be fired. Tin cans will be easy targets at 50 yards with these rifles. They are extremely accurate and a blast to shoot.

Thanks SurplusShooter,,,

I drove about an hour last evening to see the rifle,,,
The stock had the normal dings and scratches,,,
But really not too bad at all.

I inspected the bolt, extractor, and chamber very closely,,,
There was no visible wear on them at all.

Honestly,,,
One might mistake it for unfired.

So I ponied up the cash ($230.00) and took her home.

She was made in 1950,,,
That makes her one year older than I am.

I think I will name this Polish lady,,,
Krystyna.

I'm going to the range after work,,,
I'll let you know how well we get along. ;)

I made a quick range trip,,,

I made a quick range trip,,,
I only had 15 minutes though,,,
So I fired eight rounds at 25 yards.

I'm well pleased with this grouping,,,
Some might say it's a little loose,,,
It's the indian, not the arrow. :o

So I am officially very happy with my new Polish girlfriend.

Nice looking rifle, and I haven't seen too many dated 1950. Most seem to have the 1954 date stamped on them...including mine. As sad as it is to say, I really haven't shot mine in years, so I can't really state how well it shoots in terms of accuracy. I do remember that the bolt would somehow unscrew after several rounds and have to be re-tightened. I think this was pretty common for this model. Neat rifle, however, and I intend to keep mine for quite a while.
