Who makes the cleanest burning .44 Mag ammo(or other caliber)?

That's a good question. I'd say that Magtech is the dirtiest and Winchester white box might be the cleanest.
With that said, I don't know that you'll see a huge difference between all of them.
Put enough rounds down range, you've got to clean it either way. I'd buy whatever I could get my hands on and shoot it and when I'm done, clean it.

Thanks Krey. I was kinda thinking the Winchester might be cleaner myself.
The ammo is for a Desert Eagle so clean burning is a definate plus.
There can be quite a difference between the brands through. For instance, when I had a Smith & Wesson 1066 10mm I bought 2-4 boxes of Ranier ammo and that stuff was jamming up my gun pretty bad and made my barrel/ramp look like I dropped it into wet sand. Went home and cleaned it up. Next time I took some Double Tap, Winchester Silvertips, and Federal Hydrashoks with me and had no jams and the gun was nowhere near as dirty as before.

If you shoot enough 44 magnum that you need to clean your gun because it isn't functioning properly, then you are a very wealthy man

Well, of the ammo you mentioned in your thread, I would say the Winchester is the cleanest of those mfgs.
However, I always clean my guns after each range trip (unless I am doing a trial/test on a new gun). That way it really doesn't really matter what type of cheaper ammo I am shooting at the range, as the guns are always clean for the next trip to the range.
